On February 19, 2025, JMK Technologies Limited and Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) held a signing ceremony for the Wajir County Solar Project at STIMA CLUB in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.


The project is an important livelihood project implemented by the Kenyan government to achieve the goal of electricity for all, aiming to promote electrification services for households, enterprises, community facilities and water pumps by supporting the application of solar energy technology. Upon completion of the project, it is expected that 30% of Kenya's administrative regions will benefit from it, providing clean electricity to 1.2 million un-electrified households, which will greatly promote local livelihoods and economic development
